Wedding Night...

The methodical crashing of waves against the shore can be heard for miles around. The sun sets in the West, using the horizon as her blanket while gulls scream at each other from the sky above. The rhythmic "Ding, Ding" of the bouy is heard from atop a roof where a young girl sits, observing her island. The soft breeze brushes against the flags and lifts them until they are flying proudly atop their posts in the cool evening air. The shore is empty, and all that remains is the same methodical drum of the waves below.
